Waterproofing grade standard

Waterproof grade standards  can be divided into the following types:

General grade: suitable for light outdoor activities and daily life, waterproof performance below 5000mmH20, can cope with some low-intensity rain, but there may be small water seepage in a long time of rain immersion.

Intermediate  : suitable for moderate intensity outdoor activities, waterproof performance between 5000-10000mmH20, can well resist snow, snow, rain and other environment immersion.

Advanced  : suitable for difficult outdoor activities and extreme climate environment, waterproof performance of more than 10000mmH20, can withstand high intensity rain immersion and strong water pressure, and has good air permeability.

In addition, there are some specific test standards, such as static pressure , moisture permeability, reflective material reverse-reflection coefficient value  and color fastness to friction  and so on. In the outdoor fabric industry, Water Repellent is common waterproof  (W/R), Durable Water Repellent  (DWR) and TEFLON waterproof  three types.

It should be noted that the anti-water grade standard is not the warning level in the weather forecast, which is divided into blue, yellow, orange and red four levels, and has nothing to do with the anti-water grade standard.
