Congo (DRC) think tank International Security and Strategic Studies Center (CESSI) director Lilian wrote in the China Daily on September 6 that in recent years, China and Congo (DRC) continue to deepen cooperation in various fields, thus promoting the development of economic and trade relations. In addition to mining and infrastructure, cooperation between the two sides also covers important areas such as electricity, healthcare and youth training.
In the fields of infrastructure, industry, trade and economy, China and the Democratic Republic of the Congo have achieved remarkable results in cooperation. Cooperation projects such as the Kinsuka Substation, the Busanga Water power station, the Maluku tile plant and the Sakania Dry Port have greatly contributed to the industrial development of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
It is also worth mentioning that China's trade with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is also growing. In the first half of this year, the trade volume between the two countries reached 12.34 billion U.S. dollars, and the DRC has become one of China's major investment destinations in Africa.
In a word, the cooperation between China and the Democratic Republic of the Congo is progressing smoothly and enjoys broad prospects.
